“
In the universe many things happen, so the liberated ones won't worry about that.
” amandabcook wrote this story on June 16 2009 at 17:28 (5:28 PM) ET: A few days ago, I was thinking about the concept of nonattachment and reading about it in the Yoga Sutras. I decided to add a few paraphrased quotes about nonattachment as SyncTxt messages. The next day, I was driving a screaming baby, and I succeeded in not letting it bother me. The instant (literally) that I thought to myself "wow, I am doing a pretty good job at nonattachment," I got this SyncTxt. It was the first SyncTxt I had received since I added the new messages almost a day before.

1. Nice! Do you relate to it as it saying that the liberated ones don't worry about the baby crying, or the liberated ones are non-attached to their own non-attachment, and so they don't worry about how well they are doing?

2. haha! Definitely both of those things at once. I mean, being attached to the concept of nonattachment is clearly a failure. Maybe I just need to stop monitoring myself and just go with the flow a little more. :)

3. Haha, well yes, I guess I was alluding to a failure of perfect non-attachment in a purist sense, but I still think of it as a big success and exactly what SyncTXT is about.

With perfect non-attachment (and all that goes along with it), one could probably receive great SyncTXT messages, but in another sense they’d lose most of their meaning/purpose and it would kind of obviate the point of making many of the messages in the first place!
